Submitting an Article
The Preparation and Presentation of Manuscripts
The aim of this Journal is to publish high quality papers. This Journal will be published only in electronic form on this web site.
Manuscripts should be drafted as concisely as possible and the editors always reserve the right to require authors to reduce the length of their manuscripts. Manuscripts will not be reviewed unless the English is of a publishable standard.
By submitting a manuscript all authors warrant that they have the authority to publish the material.
Format of Papers
Manuscripts should be prepared using a word-processor.
Right hand margin justification should be switched off and artificial word breaks at the end of lines must be avoided.
Do not use the carriage return (enter) at the end of lines within a paragraph.
Turn the hyphenation option off.
The first page should show:
(a) the title;
(b) name(s) of author(s) and place(s) where the work was done;
(c) an abstract of no more than 150 words;
(d) the name, complete mailing address, email address, telephone and fax numbers of the author to whom all correspondence should be addressed
Authors may be advised that short papers not exceeding four published pages may be referred to as a letter or news item.
Submissions
Authors are advised to submit their manuscripts via email to the webmaster@childjustice.org.
Save your complete manuscript as a Word document (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf) file.
Do not send Portable Document Format (.pdf) or PostScript (.ps) files
References
The Harvard system of referencing is preferred although manuscripts using footnotes will be accepted.
Photographs and Graphics
If you include photographs and graphics make use they are in JPEG format for photographs and GIF format for graphics. Files should be no more than 150 Kilobytes in size. You should also provide captions for such photographs and graphics.
CRI reserves the write to reuse any photographs or graphics else where in the web site. Authors should make sure that the use of any photographs and graphics submitted are not restricted by copyright.
Letters to the Editor
The Chief Editor will consider letters which will provide further debate on a particular topic arising from the publication of a paper. Author(s) of the paper will be sent an edited copy of the letter and they will have the right of reply. Both letters will be published in the Journal.
Copyright
Manuscripts are accepted and published on the CRI web site on the understanding that they become copyright of CRI.
